XYZ Dynamics successfully launches SFINX NB15 at GSE Expo Europe 2026
New fully electric pushback tractor makes its international debut in Lisbon, marking a new chapter for XYZ Dynamics and its electric ground support equipment portfolio.
Lisbon, Portugal – 17 September 2026 – XYZ Dynamics has successfully introduced the SFINX NB15, its new fully electric pushback tractor, to the international ground support equipment industry at GSE Expo Europe 2026 in Lisbon.
The official launch took place during the three-day exhibition from 15–17 September, where the SFINX NB15 was presented to the industry for the first time. Throughout the event, the new machine attracted strong interest from ground handling professionals, airport operators and other GSE industry representatives visiting the XYZ Dynamics stand.
After months of development, engineering and testing, the exhibition marked the first opportunity for visitors to see the complete SFINX NB15 up close, enter the cabin and experience its operator-focused design.
“GSE Expo Europe was the moment we had been working towards for a long time,” says Luuk, Project Manager at XYZ Dynamics. “Until Lisbon, we had deliberately only shown glimpses of SFINX. Being able to finally reveal the complete machine and see people step into the cabin, ask detailed questions and share their first reactions was incredibly rewarding for the entire team.”
Purpose-built for electric ground handling
Unlike an electrified version of an existing diesel platform, the SFINX NB15 has been engineered from the ground up as a fully electric pushback tractor.
Its development has focused on the requirements of daily airport operations, combining operator comfort, intuitive handling, serviceability and uptime within a purpose-built electric platform.
The NB15 features an independently suspended cabin designed to isolate the operator from vibration and impact, combined with progressive parabolic suspension and a sound-dampened interior. A lowered front windscreen is designed to improve visibility of the immediate work area.
The machine also features a single-speed drivetrain and dynamic four-wheel steering, which adapts at higher speeds to support stability and handling. An integrated front camera provides additional visibility in busy operational environments.
Serviceability has also been considered from the outset. The modular powerpack is designed so it can be removed and replaced by a single technician in approximately half a day, while the electric drivetrain reduces the number of moving drivetrain components.
At the heart of the SFINX NB15 is a 64.5 kWh LiFePO4 battery. The platform supports both CCS DC fast charging and Type 2 AC charging, with future-ready dual-battery and extended-range configurations envisaged for different operational requirements.
Strong response in Lisbon
Over the three days of GSE Expo Europe, the SFINX NB15 became the centrepiece of the XYZ Dynamics stand. Visitors were able to inspect the machine, sit in the cabin and discuss its design and potential applications directly with the team behind its development.
The exhibition also generated conversations about the wider transition towards electric ground support equipment. Alongside its new-build activities, XYZ Dynamics works on converting existing diesel GSE to fully electric drivetrains, allowing operators to electrify existing assets as an alternative to replacing complete machines.
This combination of purpose-built new electric GSE and the conversion of existing equipment forms an important part of XYZ Dynamics' approach to fleet electrification.
